FTP’in and Christmas is around the corner

Wow, I cannot believe that 2002 is almost over with. It is amazing what a year it has been. Work was unbelievably challenging, but rewarding to the last. I am glad and thankful that I have a pretty good solid job still, and getting promoted at the same time. Looking forward to the challenges ahead for 2003. Getting the apartment some furniture finally was a small task, and hopefully before the end of Jan 2003, we will have the Jacuzzi in. Nice long hot bubble baths await.. =) Its just a nice thing to come home to see something than nothing in the living room. ;)

So lets see here, finally got my ftp server up and running (somewhat half assed) but non-the-less, up and running. at least now Cris and I can swap our songs we make much easier now rather than burning a cd and sending via the postal service.

Ok, Today is December 15th, so that makes it 9 MORE DAYS until Father Christmas comes from Northern Lapland to visit ME of course first, then to everybody else. So get your comments in quick as to what you want for Christmas and I will pass a good word along to him before he leave here in Finland to visit all of you in your homes. ;)

Kemars WEb Enterprise

Kemar WEb Enterprise is my little work away from work business. All web based, there is no physical presence other than email and pages to read information on. A total Virtual Experience in creating web pages to get your information out there in CYBER WORLD!

Why don’t you come and check it out to see what I have to offer.

On other news here in Helsinki:
It has been below 0*c for the past week now, and most of the harbour and portions of the sea have now been frozen enough to not allow boats in. Which means the ICE Breakers have now come in to break up the ice. Winter tends to be boring and dark, so any little excitement or noise is always entertaining. =)

yearly charge for electricity in Helsinki

This will make your california blood curddle when you hear how much Hanna and I pay for power for the entire year 2002.

We pay our electricity bill in quarterly statements and ytd 2002 the total bill was 200.02€ . So that works out to little less than 50.001€ per three months.

Doesn’t that make you all sick to your stomachs. So moving to Finland is starting to sound a bit better, and oh ya, the heating for our apartment…FREE. we do not pay for heating as the power plants that are giving us the cheap electricity is using the by product steam and hot water to heat the sewers so they do not freeze and the heat is transported to the main homes / apartment complexes to heat us up. =)

Well, just thought I would pass this along.

22 days left

I cannot believe that christmas is around the corner, only 22 days left. It’s really interesting to see how time flys by that I am older and how when i was 21 I didn’t think my parents made sense when they told me that time is going to catch up to you quicker than you think. Boy were they right. It feels like yesterday I was out in the bay area visiting my family and friends.. What the hell happened the summer, and what is this business about winter coming up and biting me in the a$$. =) Such as life, so as a friend would say,
be a saint, be a sinner, just be!!! =)
